“Nadeem from SMART Way Forward recently delivered a coach development workshop to 20 of our athletics coaches at Bishops Stortford Running Club. The workshop was entitled ‘Planning for endurance performance’ with an emphasis on learning the essential running skills and drills required to help athletes improve results and stay injury free. We all found the workshop incredibly useful and motivating, and we will now put theory into practice to ensure we get the best from all our coaches and athletes at every training session and competition. Thanks Nadeem!”

Training the trainers with England Athletics!

England Athletics

SMART Way Forward managing director Nadeem Shaikh has been invited to join the England Athletics National Coach Development Programme.

Nadeem, who is already a fully qualified, established UK Athletics Level 3 Performance Endurance coach at Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, has trained many athletes from grassroots through to international level.

Being on the programme will allow Nadeem to not only develop his own skills even further – but also mentor the next generation of up and coming coaches around the Region.

Nadeem said:  “I am absolutely delighted to be invited onto the National Coach Development Programme with England Athletics.  Athletics has been my passion for more than 24 years and thankfully I have had the privilege of working with some of the best, most established coaches and mentors in the country.

“Over the years I have learnt so much on and off the track. Therefore, I am really looking forward to sharing this knowledge & experience with other coaches, so they can also benefit in the same way I have.”
