What is mental toughness?

This workshop looks specifically at the key attributes which influence a mentally tough performer. Being physically strong and having a high pain threshold is an advantage, but when you add mental strength into the equation, the athlete or player takes performance to the next level. Areas covered in this workshop will include; Self-belief, determination to succeed, desire / passion to win, staying fully focused in the face of competition, dealing with physical and emotional pain, maintaining discipline, managing distractions, dealing with unexpected scenarios or uncontrollable events & performance setbacks, controlling anxiety and nerves, not being phased by your competitors, thriving on pressure, managing your personal / family life in and around training or competition.
