Stevenage FC keeping their coaches SMART in the community

Stevenage FCSMART Way Forward is delighted to announce that from January 2013, they will be delivering a series of CPD Community Development workshops which will help the coaches based within the Stevenage Football Club In The Community (SFCITC) team become even more effective in their roles when engaging with schools, colleges, clubs and businesses within the Stevenage and North Hertfordshire area.

Stevenage Football Club In The Community (SFCITC) is the official community scheme and charity of Stevenage Football Club. On a daily basis, their team delivers a variety of sports and educational based activities in order to help improve the standard of living within the local community. On a weekly basis, their community coaches engage with over 2,000 people through the delivery of sports, education, health, social inclusion and disability based provision programmes.

Alex Tunbridge, Head of Stevenage Football Club In The Community (SFCITC) said: “We are delighted to be working with SMART Way Forward and really looking forward to them delivering a series of community coach development workshops at Stevenage FC in 2013.”

Nadeem Shaikh, Managing Director of SMART Way Forward, added: “The team and I at SMART Way Forward are very excited to be working with Alex and his team from Stevenage Football Club In The Community (SFCITC).

“Stevenage FC are a great club, very local to us and have always remained very active within the community. They are one of the most family friendly clubs in Hertfordshire, always looking to engage and inspire the next generation of young sportsmen & women from grassroots through to professional level. We’re really looking forward to working them in 2013.”

Earlier in the year, The Lamex Stadium, the official home of Stevenage FC, went through a huge facelift to help modernise the exterior of the stadium. The end result looks amazing, with a new very fresh modern look, incredibly spacious offices and and ample parking for office staff and visitors.
